What We Treat

  • Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) therapy is a safe, effective rehabilitation technique that includes applying a specialized cuff to an affected limb while performing muscle strengthening exercise. Prior to beginning exercise, this cuff is professionally calibrated to squeeze the limb at a therapeutic level, ultimately creating a low oxygen environment in the muscle(s) being targeted. This low oxygen environment stimulates muscle adaptations similar to those seen with high intensity training, without the need for heavy weights/resistance. BFR is especially useful for individuals who are recovering from injury or surgery and are unable to safely perform heavy lifting. BFR therapy has been proven by research to promote muscle growth, improve strength, and increase endurance, all while reducing stress on joints and soft tissues.

  • Manual therapy is a hands-on therapeutic approach aimed at restoring normal function to muscles, joints, and soft tissues. Techniques include joint mobilization, soft tissue mobilization, manipulation, trigger point therapy, and muscle energy techniques. Manual therapy is often combined with other therapeutic interventions to support optimal recovery from muscle and joint pain.

  • Physical therapy during pregnancy and the postpartum period is designed to support women through the physical changes and challenges associated with pregnancy, childbirth, and recovery. During pregnancy, physical therapists can help manage common issues such as back pain, pelvic pain, and postural changes by providing tailored exercises, education on body mechanics, and strategies to maintain strength and flexibility. After childbirth, physical therapy focuses on restoring core and pelvic floor strength, improving posture, addressing any pain or dysfunction, and supporting a safe return to daily activities and exercise. By addressing these concerns, physical therapy can enhance comfort, promote healing, and improve overall well-being during both pregnancy and the postpartum period.

  • Pelvic health physical therapy focuses on the assessment and treatment of conditions affecting the pelvic floor muscles, ligaments, and connective tissues. These issues can include pelvic pain, incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and dysfunction related to pregnancy or childbirth. Physical therapists specializing in pelvic health use targeted exercises, manual therapy, biofeedback, and education to help patients improve pelvic floor strength, coordination, and function. Techniques may include internal and external examination and treatment techniques.  By addressing these concerns, pelvic health physical therapy can enhance comfort, restore normal function, and improve quality of life for individuals experiencing pelvic floor disorders.

  • Chronic pain is persistent pain that lasts for weeks, months, or even years, often continuing beyond the expected period of healing. Unlike acute pain, which serves as a warning signal of injury or illness, chronic pain can occur after the underlying cause has resolved, and may not always have a clear origin. It can significantly impact a person's physical function, emotional well-being, and quality of life. Effective management of chronic pain often requires a multidisciplinary approach, including physical therapy.

  • Arthritis and Osteoarthritis are conditions characterized by inflammation of the joints, leading to pain, stiffness, swelling, and reduced range of motion. It can affect people of all ages and commonly involves joints such as the knees, hips, hands, and spine. Physical therapy plays a key role in managing arthritis by helping to reduce pain, improve joint mobility, and increase strength and flexibility. Through individualized exercise programs, manual therapy, education, and activity modification, physical therapists help patients maintain or restore function, enhance quality of life, and manage symptoms more effectively.

  • Dry needling is an effective treatment technique used by our physical therapists to relieve muscle pain, improve mobility, and promote healing. By inserting fine, sterile needles into specific trigger points or tight bands of muscle, dry needling helps release tension, decrease inflammation, and restore normal movement patterns. Patients often find relief from chronic pain, muscle stiffness, muscle strains, headaches, tinnitus, joint discomfort, and sports-related injuries through this evidence-based approach. Our therapists perform dry needling as part of a comprehensive care plan tailored to each individual’s needs—helping reduce pain, improve function, and accelerate recovery safely and effectively.

  • Physical therapy can play a crucial role in improving athletic performance through improving muscle strength, flexibility and coordination to optimize movement efficiency and prevent injury or recover from an existing injury. Through detailed and personalized assessment, our expert physical therapists can identify muscular imbalances, mobility restrictions, and faulty movement patterns that may negatively impact athletic performance and increase risk of injury. Our physical therapists can then provide specific corrective exercises, manual therapy, or other various interventions to correct the issue(s). Our therapists also possess advanced knowledge and expertise on sport-specific training to optimize endurance, power, and agility that is specific to the demands of each athlete’s sport(s), keeping them healthy and at the top of their game.

  • At our clinic, we specialize in the evaluation and treatment of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders to help patients find relief from jaw pain, tension, and related symptoms. TMJ dysfunction can cause discomfort not only in the jaw but also in the neck, head, and ears—often leading to headaches, clicking or popping when opening the mouth, and even tinnitus (ringing in the ears). Our physical therapists use a combination of manual therapy, postural correction, targeted exercises, and optional dry needling techniques to restore proper jaw alignment and function. By addressing the underlying muscular and joint imbalances, we help reduce pain, improve movement, and prevent recurring issues, allowing patients to return to comfortable, pain-free daily activities.

  • Our physical therapists specialize in vestibular rehabilitation, an effective, evidence-based approach for treating vertigo, dizziness, balance problems, and motion sensitivity. These symptoms often stem from inner ear or vestibular system dysfunction, which can make daily activities challenging and increase the risk of falls. Through personalized exercises that retrain the brain and inner ear to work together, we help patients reduce dizziness, improve balance, and regain confidence in movement. Our goal is to restore stability, reduce symptoms, and help you return to normal life with clarity and confidence.

  • Physical therapy plays a vital role in both the prevention and recovery of work-related injuries. Through individualized assessment and treatment plans, physical therapists help employees recover from injuries sustained on the job, restore function, and reduce pain. In addition to rehabilitation, physical therapists educate patients on proper body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention strategies tailored to their specific work environments. When appropriate, physical therapists communicate with employers to provide recommendations that support a safe return to work and promote ongoing employee well-being, helping to minimize the risk of future injuries.
